Training and Technical Assistance

REFT staff have a great deal of teaching, training and technical assistance experience. In particular, we have trained a variety of service agencies and community groups in evaluation processes, including the creation of logic models, empowerment evaluation, and database construction. Additionally, staff has related professional backgrounds in sociology, education, journalism, public affairs, cross-cultural consulting, ESL, non-profit and for-profit management, computer technology, mathematics, and university administration.

REFT expertise thus encompasses many disciplines, with teaching and training experience, ranging from cultural competency to mathematics to report writing for professional and lay audiences. Our training sessions draw from various cognitive approaches, so all audience members’ learning needs are met appropriately. REFT staff practice a relevant “hands-on” style and are adept at teaching people of all ages and backgrounds.
